Your first assignment is to shape the data architecture and data models for a large federal data-lake-plus-warehouse platform on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The work is real, hard, and it matters. It is also where you start, not the shape of your career here: we hire people, not seats, and we move our best to where the hardest problems are.
Requirements
- Deep data modeling and schema design across a data lake and warehouse on AWS.
- Expertise in cloud data services, governed access, and modeling tools.
- Ability to restructure a live ecosystem without breaking it.
- Communication skills to carry a design past technical and non-technical stakeholders in a regulated environment.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Amazon Redshift, S3, and relational databases.
Responsibilities
- Clean data models and schemas across the lake and the warehouse (Amazon Redshift, S3, and relational databases).
- Design the architecture that brings the data together, including models and schemas for new and migrated sources.
- Restructure the existing ecosystem to cut redundancy and protect integrity and accessibility, all under governed access.
- Contribute to new capabilities, tools, and lines of business.
