About The Position

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience working in a critical care or emergency/critical care environment.
• Knowledge of hemodynamics and ventilator management.
• Critical Care certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN, or CTRN) required within 6 months of hire.
• NIMS 100 required within 6 months of hire.
• South Carolina Nursing License.
• South Carolina Driver’s License.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
• Provide comprehensive, effective care to patients transported by McLeod Heart Reach Critical Care Ambulance.
• Maintain positive written and spoken communication when collaborating with healthcare facilities.
• Adhere to McLeod Health and South Carolina Department of Public Health policies outlined in 60-7.
• Complete accurate and timely written and electronic documentation in accordance with policy.
• Demonstrate competency and knowledge in critical care ground transport, including flight physiology, Crew Resource Management (CRM), and Just Culture.
• Demonstrate general knowledge of Incident Command Systems (ICS) and the role in disaster responses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
