About The Position
Matthew 25 is seeking a Billing and Coding Specialist to join their mission-driven team. This role is responsible for duties directly associated with medical billing and coding. The specialist will collaborate with a team including the Scheduling Specialist, 340 B Manager, Health Information Coordinator, and Eligibility Specialist to ensure the efficient operation of the revenue cycle. Matthew 25 has been recognized as a top workplace for three consecutive years and is dedicated to serving individuals at risk for, living with, or impacted by HIV or other STIs through comprehensive healthcare, education, and support.
Requirements
- Must be a certified coding specialist through an accredited association or have completed an associate's degree program in medical billing and coding.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical billing and coding.
- Experience working in a nonprofit organization or a strong desire to work in service driven environment.

- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background test.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support reducing the number of denied claims.
- Maintain timely filing requirements of claims for third party payers.
- Maximize third party payments.
- Support various compliance requirements regarding third party and patient billing.
