Billing and Coding Specialist
About The Position
Matthew 25 is seeking a Billing and Coding Specialist to join their mission-driven team. This role is responsible for duties directly associated with medical billing and coding. The specialist will collaborate with a team including the Scheduling Specialist, 340 B Manager, Health Information Coordinator, and Eligibility Specialist to ensure the efficient operation of the revenue cycle. Requirements
- Must be a certified coding specialist through an accredited association or have completed an associate's degree program in medical billing and coding.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical billing and coding.
- Experience working in a nonprofit organization or a strong desire to work in service driven environment.

- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background test.

- Clinical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support reducing the number of denied claims.
- Maintain timely filing requirements of claims for third party payers.
- Maximize third party payments.
- Support various compliance requirements regarding third party and patient billing.
