About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends
• Must be able to interact and work cooperatively with students, staff, parents, guardians, and community members without the loss of efficiency or composure
• Skilled in conflict management, remaining open to other ideas and contributing to building a positive team spirit
• Valid Driver's License and evidence of insurability
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
• First Aid and CPR certifications
• Pre-placement physical (Group ll)

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of instructional /tutorial procedures and practices
• Knowledge of strategies, and techniques of individual and team sports
• Reading and writing English
• Communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm for and interest in the sports program
• Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of athletes
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
• Ability to plan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines
• Ability to maintain records
• Ability to read, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Coaching, planning, organizing and delivering direction to student athletes
• Maintain necessary rosters and records
• Complete required paperwork, including student accident/injury report, in a specified time and manner
• Ensure proper form(s) (permission, insurance, attendance, medical, etc.) are obtained and current
• Maintain the highest order of professionalism and always display the highest level of ethical and moral behavior
• Building positive relationships with athletes, staff, parents, and community

Benefits

• Stipend $860 per season
