JV Competitive Cheer Coach
About The Position
The Girls Junior Varsity Competitive Cheer Coach is responsible for focusing on team development and continuous improvement throughout the season. The coach directs student athletes at practice, during transportation, and at other schools or locations. The coach serves as a role model for staff, parents, the community, and students, and promotes leadership qualities among student-athletes. The coach reports to the High School Athletic Director and Varsity Competitive Cheer Coach and follows the sports program set by the varsity coach. This is a seasonal assignment, with compensation per DEA Contract – Schedule B.
Requirements
- Knowledge of coaching cheer.
- Cheer experience required.
- Knowledge of gymnastics.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate.
- Knowledge of strength and conditioning.
- Quality communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of first aid.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of varsity coaching experience preferred.
