About The Position

University Physicians' Association is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our UT Rheumatology team located on the UT Medical Center campus. We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented nursing professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinic setting. The ideal candidate excels at communication, prioritizes patient care, and is confident working closely with physicians to support a seamless patient experience.

Requirements

  • Active LPN license or MA Certification required
  • Previous medical or clinical experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and effective time management
  • detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can meet deadlines efficiently
  • prioritize patient care
  • demonstrate strong communication skills
  • be comfortable giving instructions and writing orders

Nice To Haves

  • Previous medical or clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assisting physicians with direct patient care
  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
  • Completing prior authorizations and pre-certifications for MRIs and CTs
  • Communicating test results clearly and professionally
  • Performing phlebotomy
  • Supporting a variety of clinical and administrative duties
