About The Position

Requirements

• Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting (Oncology/Hematology experience preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of experience with venipuncture and specimen collection.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation to rotate between the DeLand and Orange City locations.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Phlebotomy: Perform frequent venipuncture and specimen collection for oncology patients with high accuracy.
• Clinical Support: Assist with patient intake, vitals, and rooming; support providers and staff with other clinical needs.
• Lab Coordination: Process and prepare specimens for transport, ensuring all labeling and documentation meet strict safety standards.
• Patient Navigation: Manage patient charts, scan medical records, and monitor daily schedules to ensure a seamless clinic experience.
• Communication: Act as a bridge between patients and providers; bilingual candidates will provide essential translation support for our Spanish-speaking patient population.
