About The Position
Seasonal roles at Target involve helping families discover the joy of everyday life. This includes various specialized sales roles such as Seasonal Specialty Sales Roles, which focus on tailored suggestions and compelling visual merchandising; Seasonal Service & Engagement roles, which prioritize guest experience and interaction; and Seasonal General Merchandise & Food Sales roles, focusing on efficient operations, product presentation, and pricing. Target aims to provide meaningful experiences that help team members build skills for a career, offering knowledge of guest service fundamentals, retail business fundamentals, and experience executing daily workloads to support business priorities and sales goals.
Requirements
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members.

- Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
- Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes.
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) and regular attendance necessary.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting a guest first culture across the store.
- Experience in retail business fundamentals: department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency and improvement.
- Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Actively selling and compelling visual merchandising presentations to inspire guests and build the basket.
- Welcoming, thanking, and exceeding guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery.
- Ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor.
- Accurately handle cash register operations.
- Climb up and down ladders.
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds.
