About The Position

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of basketball mentoring or playing experience at the college level or above.
• USA Basketball Gold Licensure, or willingness to acquire certification.
• Experience directing full-day basketball camps.
• Experience working with children ages 6 to 17.
• Prior mentoring experience at the AAU, middle school, high school level, or beyond.
• Effective communication and motivational skills appropriate for the age group.
• Maintain a high standard of integrity and punctuality.
• Ability to adjust swiftly to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• First aid, CPR, and AED certification, or willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Supervise camp and clinic participants.
• Be responsible for the general well-being of all students.
• Serve as a role model to young students.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
• Perform additional duties and functions as assigned.
• Complete lesson plans and curriculum with consistency and attention to detail.
