About The Position
This role gains limited hands-on experience and observation of Respiratory procedures under the supervision of an Owensboro Health Respiratory Care team member.
Requirements
- Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Works under minimal supervision.
- No experience required
- High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire
- Must be enrolled in a Respiratory program required upon hire
- BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position
Responsibilities
- Observes Respiratory related procedures.
- Assists with EKG, gas management and patient transporting.
- Cleans respiratory equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Stocks respiratory supplies.
- Builds knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations (HIPPA) and supports efforts to maintain patient confidentiality in all tasks.
