About The Position
The Apprentice Electrician supports licensed electricians by preparing materials, tools, and work areas for daily tasks. Under direct supervision, the apprentice learns to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems; follows instructions for basic wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup; and practices workplace safety. The role includes documenting completed tasks and materials, communicating progress and questions to crew members, and keeping job sites and workspaces clean and organized. The apprentice also participates in structured on-the-job and classroom training to develop trade skills and understanding of the construction process. A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required. Enrollment in a state-approved electrical apprenticeship program is required. OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification is preferred, and OSHA 10 program completion is required within six months of hire.
