About The Position
Play an integral role in financial closing requirements, subsequent account reconciliations and analysis, and daily accounting tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Good understanding of accounting theory and GAAP
- 2-3 years of prior experience in an accounting role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to quickly learn new software
- Strong research skills
- Be a flexible person who is adept at change
- Ability to meet deadlines using good time management skills
- Works well in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Prepare and load journal entries
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations, including balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Prepare account analysis, including research and compilation of findings
- Prepare daily cash journal entries and related reporting
- Prepare P&L accrual estimates and allocations by location
- Assist the Senior Accountant with fixed asset capitalization
- Assist the Senior Accountant and Management with accounting adjustments
- Prepare documentation and notes supporting procedures or accounting treatment
- Assist the Accounting Team with ad hoc assignments
- Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure financial statement completeness and accuracy
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional departments to reach satisfactory results
- Meet deadlines and proactively communicate findings and status timely
