About The Position

The Yurt Support Staff member assists the servers, chef, and restaurant team at Solitude’s mountain Yurt restaurant. The role supports guest dining experiences by providing friendly service, assisting with food and beverage service, and helping guests travel to and from the Yurt. Duties include menu assistance, drink service, bussing, restaurant cleaning, and closing preparations. The position involves working outdoors in winter weather and helping transport restaurant items to the Yurt.

Ability to obtain and maintain current, valid state-required licenses or certifications, such as a Food Handler’s Certificate and Sips and Tips.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Ability to work in winter weather and help haul restaurant items to the Yurt.

Responsibilities

Assist servers and the chef with tasks as needed.
Learn the menu, make recommendations, and answer guests’ questions.
Drive and transport guests when needed.
Snowshoe at the end of guest groups and ensure everyone stays together safely.
Make cocktails, pour wine, and provide tableside wine service.
Support the restaurant manager, kitchen staff, and other servers, including completing additional tasks such as shoveling the patio.
Close and clean the restaurant and prepare it for food service the following day.
Bus tables and assist with service.
Bring dishes down and help with end-of-night closing duties.
