About The Position

Support Staff are essential to the daily operations of Nirvana Cannabis’s dispensary. This hands-on, fast-paced role supports customers and the sales floor, helping provide smooth, compliant, and enjoyable guest experiences. The position offers exposure to multiple areas of dispensary operations and is an opportunity to learn about cannabis retail. Staff receive hands-on training in reception, floor support, and point-of-sale operations, building experience in compliance, customer engagement, and retail best practices within a supportive, team-driven environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must meet all state requirements for employment in the cannabis industry.
• Friendly, approachable, and service-oriented.
• Reliable and detail-focused, especially with cash handling and compliance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to remain professional under pressure.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn about the cannabis industry.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of retail experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a positive first impression.
• Educate guests on cannabis products, strains, medicinal uses, and consumption methods.
• Verify IDs and ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dispensary environment.
• Support teammates through clear communication and teamwork.
