About The Position

Solitude Mountain Resort is hiring seasonal, part-time Yurt Support Staff for its mountain restaurant. The role supports servers and the chef, helps deliver an engaging guest dining experience, and may include wine and bar service. Dinner service also involves helping guests obtain snowshoes and hiking with them to the Yurt. Staff are expected to provide prompt, friendly service, help guests with menu selections, coordinate orders with the kitchen, and assist with restaurant operations and closing duties.

Requirements

• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to obtain and maintain current, valid state-required licenses or certifications, such as a Food Handler’s Certificate and Sips and Tips.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in winter weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers and the chef with tasks as needed.
• Know the menu, make recommendations, and answer guests’ questions.
• Drive and transport guests when needed.
• Snowshoe at the end of guest groups and ensure everyone stays together safely.
• Make cocktails, pour wine, and provide tableside wine service.
• Help the restaurant manager, kitchen staff, and other servers, and complete additional tasks as needed, such as shoveling the patio.
• Close and clean the restaurant and prepare it for the next day’s food service.
• Bus tables and assist with service.
• Bring dishes down and help with end-of-night closing duties.
• Help haul restaurant items up to the Yurt.
