About The Position

The Youth Ministry Director leads and oversees Club Beyond, Young Life’s ecumenically focused, outreach-oriented ministry for military teens. Staff build relationships with teens, parents, volunteers, local communities, military installations, and chapel communities, creating a safe and supportive space where teens can develop friendships, hope, resiliency, and a sense of belonging grounded in God’s love and purpose. The ministry includes outreach to teens who are not connected to a church, discipleship for Christian teens, and hands-on middle and high school youth programs. Staff are expected to embrace military culture and adapt to frequent turnover among teens, families, chaplains, and volunteers. The position requires living near the community where the ministry is conducted. A three-year commitment is requested, and staff are expected to raise part of the budget through personal support. Openings include Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington and other U.S. and international military locations.
