About The Position

Club Beyond is seeking a Youth Ministry Director to lead and oversee its Young Life Military program, known as Club Beyond, at Travis Air Force Base in California. The program is ecumenically focused and outreach oriented, serving teenagers with active-duty military parents. Because military teens often move frequently, Club Beyond staff walk alongside them and create a safe community where they can build friendships, experience belonging, develop hope and resiliency, and encounter the truth of God’s love and purpose for them. The role involves developing relationships with teens and adults and building connections with the local community, military installation, and chapel community. Staff serve as role models and support outreach to unchurched teens, discipleship for Christian teens, and hands-on middle- and high-school youth programs through volunteer leadership and equipping. The position requires respect for military culture and adaptability to frequent turnover among teens, families, chaplains, and volunteers. Staff must live near the community where they serve. Club Beyond’s core values describe it as a Christ-centered community of leaders with an exclusively military focus, using incarnational methods and an ecumenical perspective, leveraging strategic partnerships, and valuing professionalism and excellence in stewardship. Full-time salary is based on experience, responsibility, and fundraising levels. The stated base salary range is $45,000–$60,000, with a location-dependent cost-of-living adjustment available. Annual national funding of $16,667 is provided. The full-time benefits package includes health coverage, dental, vision and life insurance, mileage expense reimbursement for office- and ministry-related travel, and training and career development.
