About The Position

A Yard Loader safely and accurately loads and unloads deliveries made to and received by ADS. The role requires safe and proper vehicle operation, interaction with company and outside drivers and will-call customers, and excellent customer service. The position requires flexibility to work 40 or more hours per week and weekends as required. Yard Loaders report directly to the Yard Supervisor and/or Yard Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety by immediately communicating unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries.
• Maintain a safe working environment and consistently use personal protective equipment.
• Safely operate forklifts and conduct preventive maintenance on forklifts and other plant machines.
• Conduct final visual inspections and label finished goods to ensure quality.
• Provide good customer service when loading and unloading deliveries while minimizing errors.
• Ensure proper product rotation and track inventory levels.
• Learn and stay current on pipe specifications and packaging requirements.
• Practice continuous improvement in processes and facility housekeeping.
• Build and maintain job skills and additional earning potential through company training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
