About The Position

Poly-America, L.P. is seeking a Yard Hopper to join its Shipping/Receiving department. The company produces polyethylene products, including trash bags and construction and agricultural films. Yard Hoppers relocate, dock, and transport 48-foot and 53-foot trailers within the manufacturing facility and help load and unload trailers using propane sit-down forklifts. The role requires keeping pace with production and accurately recording information to support on-time shipments. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management. The schedule is a yearly set rotation of four days on and four days off, with 12-hour shifts from 5 to 5. Workdays rotate from week to week, and candidates must be available to work any day of the week. Day or night shift may be assigned by management.

Requirements

At least one year of experience driving commercial trucks or yard mules.
A current U.S. driver's license; a CDL is not required.
Ability to handle trailers quickly in tight spaces regardless of lighting conditions.
Ability to work a day or night shift as assigned by management.
Aptitude and desire to learn Poly-America processes, equipment, and procedures.
Successfully pass a drug screen.
Availability to work any day of the week.
