About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Yard Associate, also described as a Porter / Yard Worker. The role is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location's property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and servicing equipment as necessary to ensure it meets specifications. The Yard Associate inspects equipment before and after rental and documents lost or damaged equipment. The position may involve working indoors or outdoors and requires physical activities such as bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• General mechanical aptitude.
• Safety-focused approach.
• Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors when required by the job.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools.
• Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required depending on location needs.
