About The Position

The Yard Associate builds loads for deliveries and maintains a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard. The role includes loading and unloading lumber and other building supplies and operating a forklift. Other duties may be assigned. The position is with 84 Lumber, a privately held building-materials supplier that promotes career growth from within.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information to others one-on-one.
• Ability to periodically lift up to 80 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Build loads for deliveries.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard.
• Load and unload lumber and building supplies.
• Operate a forklift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
