About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Yard Associate, also described as a Porter / Yard Worker. The role is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location's property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and servicing equipment as necessary to ensure it meets specifications. The associate inspects equipment before and after rentals to document lost or damaged items. The position offers a fast-paced, safety-focused workplace, with opportunities to advance into mechanic, driver, or customer service roles. The role may involve working indoors or outdoors as required and performing physically demanding tasks.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with customers, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
General mechanical aptitude.
Safety-focused approach to work.
Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors or outdoors when required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Experience with common construction and industrial tools.
Experience or training in repair of mechanical equipment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Bilingual in Spanish or another language, which may be required based on location needs.
