About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Yard Associate, also described as a Porter / Yard Worker, to station and retrieve equipment on the location’s property. The role maintains a written maintenance schedule and may service equipment as needed to ensure it meets specifications. The Yard Associate inspects equipment before and after rental to document lost or damaged equipment. This position offers work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment and potential advancement into mechanic, driver, or customer service roles.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with customers in writing and orally.
Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
General mechanical aptitude.
Safety focus.
Ability to meet the physical demands of bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
Ability to work indoors or outdoors as required by the job.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred.
Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred.
Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required based on location needs.
