About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Yard Associate, also described as a Porter / Yard Worker. The role is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location's property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and servicing equipment as necessary to ensure it meets set specifications. The Yard Associate inspects equipment before and after rentals to document lost or damaged equipment. The role offers on-the-job training and potential advancement into mechanic, driver, or customer service roles.

Requirements

• Effectively communicate with customers in writing and orally.
• Perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Have a general mechanical aptitude and a safety-focused approach.
• Use the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Meet the role's physical demands, including bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools.
• Some experience and/or training in repairing mechanical equipment.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish or another language may be required based on location needs.
