About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Yard Associate, also described as a Porter / Yard Worker. The role is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location’s property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and servicing equipment as necessary to ensure it meets specifications. The Yard Associate inspects equipment before and after rental to document lost or damaged equipment. This is a safety-focused role in a challenging, fast-paced environment. The company offers on-the-job training for eligible employees and opportunities to advance into mechanic, driver, or customer service roles. Physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required. Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with customers in writing and orally.
Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
General mechanical aptitude.
Safety focus.
Ability to meet the physical demands of bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required.
Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required based on location needs.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred.
Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred.
