About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Yard Associate, also described as a Porter / Yard Worker. The role is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location’s property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and servicing equipment as needed to ensure it meets set specifications. The Yard Associate inspects equipment before and after rental and documents lost or damaged equipment. The job involves a fast-paced, safety-focused environment and may offer opportunities to advance into mechanic, driver, or customer service roles.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively with customers, both orally and in writing.
• Perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Have general mechanical aptitude and a safety-focused approach.
• Meet the physical demands of bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
• Work indoors and outdoors when required by the job.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools.
• Some experience or training in mechanical equipment repair.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language), which may be required depending on location needs.
