About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Yard Associate, also described as a Porter / Yard Worker. The role is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location's property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and servicing equipment as necessary to ensure it meets specifications. The Yard Associate inspects equipment before and after rentals and documents lost or damaged equipment. This is a safety-focused, fast-paced role with opportunities to advance into mechanic, driver, or customer service positions.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively with customers, both orally and in writing.
• Perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Have general mechanical aptitude.
• Maintain a safety focus.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required depending on location needs.
• The role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools.
• Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
