In partnership with Shield AI, GE Aerospace is advancing F110 propulsion system integration for XBAT, a next-generation autonomous aircraft designed for vertical takeoff and landing. The work involves adapting the F110 lubrication system to support sustained vertical operation, including reliable oil supply, scavenge performance, thermal management, and overall engine operability across non-traditional flight attitudes. The engineer will support definition, development, integration, and validation of lubrication system modifications through design, analysis, testing, and customer-interface activities. As an XBAT Mechanical System Advanced Lead Engineer, you will lead the design, procurement, and development of F110 lubrication system components as a module and hardware owner. You will work across internal and external engineering disciplines. The position may report to an engineering manager in Lynn, Massachusetts, or Evendale, Ohio. The role requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and at least five years of experience in lubrication system and component design and analysis, with a focus on advanced systems in aerospace, power generation, or a closely related high-tech industry. A master's or Ph.D. is preferred. GE Aerospace will not sponsor employment visas for this opening. Employment is contingent on proving U.S. Person status because the role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. The base pay range is $112,000–$149,000 annually. The position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The posting is expected to close on November 23, 2026. Relocation assistance is provided.
