XBAT AVEN Mechanical Design Staff Engineeer

GE Aerospace•Evendale, OH
•$130,000 - $173,000

About The Position

In partnership with Shield AI, GE Aerospace is advancing F110 propulsion system integration for XBAT, a next-generation autonomous aircraft that takes off and lands vertically. The effort involves developing an axisymmetric vectoring exhaust nozzle (AVEN) that balances thrust-vector control authority, weight, thermal capability, structural integrity, and manufacturability. Engineering scope includes aerodynamic design, kinematic and mechanical integration, heat transfer analysis, material selection, and validation planning for high-performance unmanned aircraft operation. The XBAT AVEN Mechanical Design Staff Engineer leads the design, procurement, and development of components for the F110 vectoring exhaust nozzle module as a hardware and/or sub-module owner. The position works with internal and external engineering disciplines and may report to an engineering manager in Lynn, Massachusetts, or Evendale, Ohio.
