About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach ENG1100 MD00, Workshop in Essay Writing, during the 2027 Winter Semester at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Arts, Department of English. The course focuses on intensive practice in academic essay writing, emphasizing grammar, reasoned exposition, essay organization, research paper preparation, and proper source acknowledgment. Students will engage in frequent written exercises and develop composition skills, with required use of Writing Centre resources outside of class hours. Requirements

• Ph.D (English)
• An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
• Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
