About The Position
This course focuses on intensive practice in academic essay writing, with an emphasis on grammatical and well-reasoned expository writing, essay organization, preparation of research papers, and proper acknowledgment of sources. Students will engage in frequent written exercises and develop their composition skills. The use of Writing Centre resources is required outside of regular class hours. This is an online course.
Requirements
- Ph.D (English)
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
- Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

Responsibilities
- Teach ENG1100 MH00: Workshop in Essay Writing.
- Provide intensive practice in academic essay writing.
- Emphasize grammatical and well-reasoned expository writing.
- Focus on essay organization and preparation of research papers.
- Instruct on proper acknowledgment of sources.
- Assign and evaluate frequent written exercises.
- Develop students' composition skills.
- Require and monitor the use of Writing Centre resources outside of regular class hours.
