As the Manager of the Toronto Office, you will oversee the workplace operations team and ensure the delivery of programs and services that amplify Okta’s culture and values. You will manage the execution of operational plans and be accountable for the performance and results of your team. This role involves working on complex operational problems, providing leadership to your team, and managing the site budget. The ideal candidate will excel at leading a team of multi-skilled individuals, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and championing Okta’s core values. This is a hands-on leadership role for a candidate with a strong hospitality mindset, employee experience focus, and a proven track record in facilities and F&B program management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of workplace programs and/or site management experience in a large enterprise environment
  • Strong management and leadership skills with experience managing direct reports and cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter capable of driving results independently with exceptional organizational, analytical, and financial acumen
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Background in Workplace Services with commitment to exceptional customer service and positive employee experience
  • Proficiency with workplace management systems (Space IQ, Coupa, ServiceNow, Scout, Asana, GSuite, Atlassian)
  • Strategic partnership and stakeholder relationship management capabilities
  • Vendor management and budget oversight experience (capex/opex planning)
  • Safety, security, compliance leadership, and program innovation mindset
  • Adaptability and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

  • Complete responsibility and oversight of day-to-day operations of the site, ranging from janitorial to life-safety, space planning, food and beverage, events and all programs and services in-between
  • Take the lead to address local safety, security, and facilities-related concerns and communicate status and updates effectively
  • Responsible for the oversight of all vendor services, including quarterly business reviews, and monitoring and driving vendors to meet Okta's service level agreements (SLA) and key performance indicator (KPI) requirements
  • Oversee the Toronto Operations budget; partner with Finance on all items ranging from capex/opex, accruals, forecasts, etc.
  • Manage the coordination and implementation of capital projects working closely with the Global Workplace Project Management team
  • Organize and champion our employee experience offerings and contribute your voice to our North American and global strategy for these programs
  • Innovate and deliver programs and services to support our growing distributed workforce in the region, as well as onsite facilities
  • Contribute to the evolution of Okta's internal AI ecosystem by identifying and supporting opportunities to enhance system performance, refine existing applications, and scale frameworks that support workplace operations and employee experience while maintaining security and technical excellence
  • Work closely with Global Workplace + Experience colleagues, cross-functional partner teams, functional leaders, and leadership to ensure that the space and experience reflects Okta's philosophy to promote wellness and productivity
  • Build strong internal relationships with our employees, leadership, partner teams, and key stakeholders to maintain effective operational partnerships and stakeholder alignment
  • Work closely with the North American and Global Operations Workplace team to drive visions, methods, and targets
  • Serve as a trusted operational partner to senior leadership, regional executives, and key stakeholders, managing complex facilities requests and high-profile office activations with discretion and precision
