About The Position

Roadrunner Services is seeking a dependable, proactive Working Site Supervisor to oversee daily vehicle transport operations at its Baltimore–Washington location in Elkridge, Maryland. The role is a hands-on leadership position requiring ownership of day-to-day operations, independent work, team coordination, and excellent customer service. The supervisor works closely with a local Market Manager who provides support from an off-site location.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with compensation of $20.00 per hour. The position is identified as a 1099 independent contractor role. Work takes place in an active outdoor vehicle auction environment and includes driving a passenger van around the auction lot and to nearby vehicle storage locations.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, consistent with applicable law.
• Reliable attendance and availability during the stated operating hours.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Comfort driving a passenger van and working in an active outdoor vehicle auction environment.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to motivate and coordinate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage daily responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory, logistics, transportation, or automotive experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a passenger van to transport drivers throughout the auction lot and between nearby vehicle storage locations.
• Coordinate daily staffing and ensure sufficient drivers are available to meet customer volume and production goals.
• Conduct new driver orientations and ensure proper training and onboarding.
• Manage and verify accurate daily time entries.
• Communicate daily with the auction customer to maintain strong relationships and ensure service expectations are met.
• Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to drivers while promoting teamwork, accountability, and safety.
• Communicate operational updates, staffing needs, and concerns to the Market Manager.
