The Workforce Program Coordinator supports the Professional and Workforce Development training portfolio by coordinating program information, instructor communication, and course delivery needs. This position develops and maintains a clear understanding of all programs in the training portfolio, supports marketing and communications with accurate course information and audience guidance, and coordinates with trainers to ensure smooth development and delivery. The Workforce Program Coordinator also supports employer training efforts by documenting needs and working with the team to translate them into feasible training solutions. This position reports to the Director of Professional and Workforce Development. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least two years of experience in continuing education, workforce development, program coordination, training operations, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work across multiple stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and produce clear written documentation
  • Knowledge of non-credit or workforce training programming
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret information, ask good questions, and document decisions clearly
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and build productive working relationships
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting non-credit programming in a higher education setting or working with trainers
  • Experience with employer-based training solutions, including needs assessment and program scoping
  • Experience developing program descriptions, audience guidance, or marketing support materials
