About The Position

The College of Western Idaho (CWI) is seeking a Workforce Development Enrollment Specialist to guide students and employer partners through the enrollment process while ensuring accurate, timely processing of all required documentation. This role is an excellent entry point into higher education and offers the opportunity to build administrative and student-service experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment that supports Idaho’s workforce needs. CWI is Idaho’s youngest community college, serving more than 30,000 students across academic, career, and workforce training programs. As a Workforce Development Enrollment Specialist, you’ll play a key role in creating an efficient, student-centered enrollment experience that supports learners, businesses, and the broader community.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university or relevant workforce development or administrative experience
  • One (1) year of professional experience working with students in a postsecondary setting or three (3) years of experience in an office environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience using document management systems, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and student information systems such as Colleague
  • Familiarity with unified ERP systems
  • All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for current and prospective students, companies, and the general public via phone and in person
  • Provide general information and enrollment assistance with exceptional customer service
  • Guide students and employers through Workforce Development enrollment steps and requirements
  • Participate in prospective and current student events throughout the year
  • Process, review, and audit enrollment documents to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Track missing or incomplete documentation and follow up with students and companies as needed
  • Enter enrollment data accurately and efficiently into the student information system
  • Maintain organized records and ensure timely issuance of course-related materials and directions
  • Issue enrollment and course completion documentation to students
  • Organize resources, establish priorities, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Support efficient workflows that align with Workforce Development and institutional priorities
  • Convey by word and action the values expected by CWI
  • Perform other duties as assigned
