About The Position

Triad Truck Equipment, a Bergey’s family-owned business, is hiring a skilled-level technician to turn truck chassis into working trucks. The technician installs truck bodies, platforms, service bodies, cranes, snowplows, lift gates, salt spreaders, warning lights, hydraulic systems, and related equipment. The position is based at Triad Truck Equipment in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, and pays $27–$32 per hour based on experience. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Successful completion of background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Build completed work trucks according to work instructions and prints.
Safely mount and connect mechanical and electrical equipment.
Assemble truck body parts and equipment using techniques such as bolting, cutting, welding, and drilling.
Work from blueprints and written specifications to meet customer specifications.
Understand electrical schematics and 12V circuits.
Communicate suggestions and errors to relevant departments to support continuous improvement of the installation process.
Test installed parts before final inspection.
Verify that all line items on the work order have been completed.
Perform safety and quality checks.
Keep the shop area neat and clean.
Maintain and account for tools and manuals, returning them to the proper place and in the condition received.
Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know requirements.
Operate tools and equipment safely and report safety issues to management immediately.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
