About The Position

The Wirer performs final wiring and connection of electrical and electronically controlled components to help ensure products meet quality and performance standards. The role involves routing, connecting, and securing wiring according to specifications; following electrical diagrams and assembly instructions; and inspecting completed work for quality and accuracy. The position is in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and includes training to develop wiring skills and qualify as a Wirer.

Previous manufacturing or electrical experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform final wiring of electrical and electronically controlled components.
Route, connect, and secure electrical wiring according to specifications.
Follow electrical diagrams and assembly instructions.
Inspect work to ensure quality and accuracy.
Use hand tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, air guns, wire strippers, soldering guns, cutters, and ratchets.
Maintain a safe and organized work area.
Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
Complete a wiring pre-test and required Wiring Class.
Participate in 30 days of on-the-job training with guidance from an experienced trainer.
Undergo a skills evaluation to achieve Qualified Wirer status and maintain wiring qualifications through periodic recertification.
