About the position
The Technical Program Manager (Wireless) is responsible for delivering a complete range of standard and custom installations in the Networking Delivery product portfolio. They should have a comprehensive understanding of defined Wireless & Network products and processes, anticipate risks, and effectively communicate with non-tech customers. The role involves maintaining partnerships with stakeholders, coordinating with global teams, and contributing to process improvement. The ideal candidate should have an aptitude for learning new technologies and a customer-centric approach. This is a major role with significant business impact.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a complete range of standard and custom installations
- Deal with ambiguity and operate in new areas within their region
- Add value where product strategy is defined and seek guidance as needed
- Have a comprehensive understanding of defined Wireless & Network products and processes
- Anticipate risks and mitigate them
- Effectively communicate with non-tech customers and influence customer decisions
- Deliver solutions at both the individual level and the service level
- Consider global requirements when addressing process development
- Understand the technology capabilities of each product and drive change or redesign when needed
- Choose the right product for the project and work independently, seeking guidance only as needed
- Maintain partnerships with stakeholders and work with global teams
- Learn and comprehend the high-level business picture and understand the technical requirements of the solutions being built
- Contribute to process improvement and documentation
- Optimize cross-team processes and drive efficiency
- Train others and mentor junior members of the team
- Seek strong talent as potential candidates to join the team
- Work on wireless projects including Aruba and Cisco
- Work on switch and server replacements
- Work on mobile infrastructure projects for medium-sized offices
- Work on Main Distribution Frame (MDF) projects
- Work on Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) projects
- Work on cabling changes
- Demonstrate an aptitude and appetite for learning new technologies
- Expand upon core knowledge
- Provide value to customers while working with industry leaders in networking technology
- Have a major business impact
