The role focuses on maintaining a safe, trauma-informed environment for clients, staff, and guests during day, evening and overnight hours. This role actively monitors issues occurring in and around the winter shelter facility, including the building premises. When safety concerns arise for any clients, staff, or guests, engage in de-escalation practices and return to a safe/secure status, in coordination with the Safety & Monitor Training Specialist, fellow staff, and possibly authorities when necessary.
