Wellness Salon Manager in Training
About The Position
The Wellness Salon Manager in Training works alongside the Store Manager to learn how to lead a team and operate a successful salon. The role includes training in coaching employees, meeting sales and performance goals, recruiting and developing staff, managing expenses, providing excellent customer service, maintaining salon standards, supporting local promotions, and securely handling cash, deposits, and customer card data. The position offers hands-on leadership and sales training, commission-based earning potential, and opportunities for career advancement. Salons are open seven days a week, and the schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at other salon locations. This is a security-sensitive position.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in retail, customer service, operations, or management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to motivate others.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand for 7 or more hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Expect to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Store Manager to learn how to run a salon.
- Learn to lead and coach Wellness Consultants and the Salon Support team.
- Learn to recruit, schedule, and develop employees.
- Learn to set goals, track performance, and follow up on training.
- Learn to manage labor, cost of sales, and other controllable expenses.
- Provide customer service that encourages client retention and learn to resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Keep the salon clean, stocked, and operating smoothly while ensuring it meets health department standards.
- Help plan and carry out local promotions to grow store sales.
- Learn to handle cash, deposits, and customer card data securely, including PCI security training.
