About The Position

The Wellness Director provides overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of residents at The Phoenix at Lake Joy. The role oversees clinical programs, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, and assists with training and onboarding clinical and care coordinator team members. The Wellness Director also assists and partners with the Regional Director of Resident Care to provide Medication Care Manager training in states where allowed.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an associate or bachelor’s degree.
• At least 2 years of department management experience working with elders or disabled individuals.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Understanding of infection control procedures.
• Ability to schedule, orient, and train staff.
• Proficiency using MS Office.
• Ability to understand and implement Personalized Service Plans.
• Understanding of advanced directives and end-of-life care.
• Understanding of and commitment to the assisted living philosophy.
• Understanding of nursing functions in assisted living, quality of care, and quality-of-life objectives.

Nice To Haves

• Multi-department experience is strongly recommended.
• Knowledge and experience in the assisted living industry and dementia care or skilled nursing.
