About The Position

Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a second-shift Welding Supervisor for a welding shop in York, Pennsylvania. The supervisor oversees and trains an hourly union workforce to meet quality, budget, and production standards for the assigned department and shift. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 11:55 p.m., with annual pay of $67,000–$77,000. Employment offers are contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
At least five years of manufacturing experience, with an emphasis on welding; experience in manufacturing environments similar to the company’s is preferred.
At least three years of manufacturing supervisory or management experience.
Working knowledge of the welding processes being supervised: GTAW, FCAW, SMAW, SAW, GMAW-P, and GMAW.
Excellent blueprint-reading capabilities.
Self-starter with strong leadership capabilities and skills.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to assigned hourly personnel, including making work assignments and providing training.
Establish, define, and coordinate shift work assignments in relation to contractual requirements, personnel qualifications, production schedules, and skill capabilities.
Ensure work meets contractual and operating requirements, company objectives, and established quality standards.
Train employees, upgrade their skills, and use human resources effectively.
Monitor employee performance and work efficiency, and take initiative to correct deficiencies.
Set up efficient workstations for upcoming jobs.
