About The Position

The Welding Lead ensures operators follow work instructions and job orders, and provides support to remove productivity obstacles, troubleshoot machines, and facilitate operations in the assigned area. The role calls for a motivated person who can work in a fast-paced, quality-centered environment and help consistently meet customer needs. The position works under the direction of the Production Supervisor and has no supervisory responsibilities. It involves occasional and incidental contact with customers or prospective customers.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of welding experience.
• Demonstrated punctual and dependable performance.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to position welding apparatus as required for the work.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stoop as required.
• Must pass an on-site physical weld test.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Previous experience as a lead overseeing 10–20 employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations under the direction of the Production Supervisor.
• Ensure operators follow work instructions and job orders.
• Support the team by removing productivity obstacles and troubleshooting machines.
• Facilitate operations in the assigned area.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Use proper personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Ensure machines are in working order.
• Perform MIG and fillet welding.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
