About The Position
U-Haul is hiring a Welding Robot Operator to help build truck and trailer parts. The position involves operating robotic welding equipment and working as part of a team. It is located at 6112 N 56th Ave, Glendale, Arizona 85301, and the listed schedule is 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. U-Haul offers competitive pay, a paid hands-on working interview, and a $100 hiring bonus. The work environment may involve moderate risks or discomforts, including moving parts, machinery, fumes, or irritating chemicals. Protective clothing or equipment such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required. Physical demands include periods of remaining stationary, moving through work areas, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving at least 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
Requirements
- Able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team.
- Regular attendance is essential.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Access programs, set tools, and load, unload, and operate the robot.
- Interpret and carry out work orders, blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on the robotic welding machine.
- Check parts for quality using inspection tools such as tape measures and visual welding inspection.
- Clean and organize workstations.
