About The Position

The Weld Technician will support a team building truck and trailer parts for U-Haul. The role involves programming, preparing, troubleshooting, and debugging robotic welding equipment for production, as well as improving robot cycle time and throughput. The position also includes training robot operators and programmers, diagnosing machine issues, and following site safety, housekeeping, and quality policies. The listed shift is 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The work is at U-Haul’s location in Glendale, Arizona, and includes travel for machine-specific training with the robotic company. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints.
Ability to pass print-reading, measurement, and fraction/decimal-conversion tests.
High level of mechanical aptitude; non-traditional backgrounds are welcome.
Excellent computer skills.
Able to travel for machine-specific training with the robotic company.
Knowledge and experience using GMAW processes.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Program, troubleshoot, debug, and prepare welding robots for production.
Teach and train robot operators and programmers.
