About The Position

Great Plains Manufacturing is hiring a Weld Robot Technician at its CE Facility in Salina, Kansas. The position is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required. The technician sets up, operates, and programs welding robots and performs industrial MIG welding operations. The role also requires following company policies and OSHA safety regulations and wearing prescribed safety and protective equipment. Other duties may be assigned that require different qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environments.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of all aspects of industrial MIG welding operations.
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional off-shifts as required for robot programming.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to understand team concepts and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work with interruptions and shift priorities as needed.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent time-management and manufacturing organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience setting up, operating, and programming various welding robots.
• Experience in automated manufacturing.
• Ability to drive a culture of Lean Manufacturing and implement changes to streamline processes.
• Familiarity with AS400.
