Weld Technician - 3rd Shift
About The Position
Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is hiring a Weld Technician at its Troy, Illinois facility. The role focuses on ensuring the quality and precision of welded components by interpreting engineering drawings and welding symbols, inspecting welds, and collaborating with a cross-functional team of skilled welders. Equipment used includes robotic welders, hand welders, progressive welders, and AutoMig welding equipment. The core schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Overtime may extend beyond these hours and may be mandatory at times. The hourly rate is $26.46, plus a $0.50-per-hour shift differential. Applicants must live within 50 miles of Troy, Illinois, unless they are active-duty military service members. Relocation benefits are not offered, and Eaton does not provide employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
Requirements
- At least six months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use a tape measure and calipers.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including helmets, aprons, sleeves, and gloves.
- Applicants must be within a 50-mile radius of Troy, Illinois, except active-duty military service member candidates.
