About The Position

The Weld & Automation Technician provides technical support for robotic welding, resistance welding, MIG welding, automated assembly equipment, fixtures, tooling, and related production processes in the Assembly, Bender and Weld (ABW) department. The role maintains production equipment in a safe, reliable, and production-ready condition to support quality manufacturing and minimize downtime. The technician troubleshoots equipment and process issues, performs repairs and adjustments, supports preventative and predictive maintenance, and works with Production and Quality to identify and resolve recurring problems. As a third-shift technical resource, the technician independently evaluates equipment and process concerns, determines root causes, implements corrective actions, and escalates significant issues as needed. The position also supports equipment installation, qualification, launch, and improvement; collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, Tooling, Maintenance, contractors, and technical service providers; and contributes to continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability. The technician must follow applicable safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and requirements for machine guarding and robotic safety systems, and maintain approved process settings and quality requirements.
