About The Position

North American Stamping Group is hiring a 3rd Shift Weld & Assembly Team Member. The role operates welding, assembly, and other production equipment, including robotic welders, and performs setup, quality checks, reporting, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance. Team members are expected to follow work instructions and safety requirements, report production, quality, or safety issues, and suggest process improvements. The position requires frequent lifting of at least 35 pounds and standing for at least eight hours per day.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to understand and follow written work instructions.
Detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
Available for training as required.
Able to work a schedule that allows the job to be completed daily.
Available to work overtime as required.
Able to lift at least 35 pounds frequently.
Able to stand for at least eight hours per day.
Must pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

Operate machines such as a robotic welder, assembly station, or other equipment.
Set up and/or change over tooling.
Conduct break tests at designated intervals, keep a log, and make adjustments as necessary.
Keep safety curtains and guards in place during operation.
Perform a final visual audit inspection of parts leaving the welder area.
Complete reports properly and completely.
Maintain good housekeeping around equipment.
Report quality, production, or safety problems to the production manager.
Keep tools in their proper places.
Operate forklifts as required.
Suggest methods of improvement, such as through a Continuous Improvement Plan.
Rework parts as instructed.
Perform preventive maintenance as instructed.
